SC Ocean fest

This past weekend I participated in the San Clemente Ocean Festival, a volunteer organization, dedicated to the promotion of ocean safety, the environment and the community by providing a quality athletic venue and enjoyable family event.
This event attracts world class athletes to compete in many different events, including Biathlon, 5K beach runs, open ocean swims, surfski races, Dory racing and My favorite, SUP 10 K distance , SUP stock Sprints as well as SUP relays and surf contests.

I participated in the 10K placing 2nd behind Slater Trout in the 14 class on my new 14" New board which worked extremely well.
I also raced the SUP Stock sprint event placing 9th out of around 80 or so as well as The SUP relay and the 4 miles race in which we all wore HazMat suits in support of the Gulf Coast tragedy.

All in all this two day event was exciting and fun filled as always STARBOARD was present and representing well.
